Any time you see a drink is called “agua de…” it is a type of drink known as an agua fresca . “Agua fresca” translates to “fresh water,” and this version is made by blending fresh watermelon with water and a touch of sugar.
Other examples of aguas frescas would be: “Agua de piña” (pineapple water), “agua de pepino” (cucumber water), “agua de melon” (cantaloupe water). You get the idea :)

How to Make Watermelon Water

- ½ gallon cups cold water

Instructions

Watermelon Water Recipe
Ingredients
- 6 cups watermelon cut into cubes
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 Lime
- ½ gallon water
Instructions
- Cut the watermelon into cubes and remove all the seeds.
- Place the cut-up watermelon in the blender with 2 cups water and blend until smooth. (about 30 seconds)
- Pour the blended watermelon into a ½ gallon pitcher with ½ cup of sugar. Add water to fill pitcher.
- Add the juice of 1 lime (optional)
- Stir vigorously until the sugar has dissolved.
- Serve lightly chilled or over ice.
